In the new trailer for the sci-fi thriller The Shape of War, Peter Steely’s star is on full display as an American woman, but it’s the world of the film’s villain, the ruthless, evil Dr. Z, who will have her most chilling moments.
The new trailer shows Steely as a woman who is desperate to leave her country and to be free.
In the opening scenes of the trailer, Steely, as a young woman in the U.S., is sent to the U of M to attend a “peace conference” in Los Angeles.
She is soon recruited by Dr. Michael Zawadski (played by Peter Toth) as his protégé, and is put into a series of experiments, including one in which Zawadzki places her in a vat of acid.
There she is subjected to sexual and psychological abuse, which leaves her emotionally traumatized and physically traumatized.
The experiments continue, as Steely is given the opportunity to be part of the new world order in the dystopian world that the film is set in.
The trailer ends with Steely leaving the lab, but she is immediately interrupted by Dr Z. “This is a dangerous place,” Dr. S, the evil Dr Z, says.
“It’s time for you to leave.”
Steely, who is now a young, young woman, responds with a chilling line: “It was the right choice.”
The film opens in theaters on June 8, 2019.
