And if you’re in a cold hospital, chances are you’ll be spending a lot of time sitting in the cold.

Wash your hands thoroughly.
There are a couple of ways to do this.
Wash hands after using the bathroom, before eating, and at the grocery store.
Use an alcohol-free soap or water and wipe them dry.
Don’t scrub your hands.
Use a cold shower.
This is especially helpful if you have chronic illness and you’re trying to keep up with medical appointments and other obligations.
Make sure you’re wearing comfortable clothes.
Make yourself comfortable by warming up in a chair.
A good way to do that is to put a blanket on your lap or in your lap, with your feet in the air.
You can then take a cold compress or ice pack and try to push it into your muscles.
Try to keep your hands and feet dry and warm.
Keep your room cool by wearing an air-conditioned room.
If you don’t have a room that is comfortable for you, you might want to consider getting a thermostat.
It’s also a good idea to keep a towel or a pillow handy.
Get your body warmed up by warming a friend or family member’s.
A friend or loved one who has a cold might warm up you by gently massaging your hands, arms, legs, back or neck.
Make the effort to get the warm up done and then take your time to enjoy the warm weather.
Try some hot chocolate or ice cream.
If that’s not an option, there are many options for a warm, tasty snack.
Keep an eye on your pulse.
There’s a good chance you’ll need to keep an eye out for a cold or if you feel weak.
Take a few minutes each day to look at your pulse and check your blood pressure, blood sugar and electrolytes.
If the cold starts to become worse, or you start to feel faint, check your temperature and make sure you have adequate fluids.
Drink plenty of fluids.
It takes at least 2 to 3 hours for the body to fully return to normal.
If it takes more than an hour to get your body to normal, your symptoms might be more severe than they normally would be. 9.
Avoid cold weather in the evening.
If a cold starts getting worse or if it gets cold enough in the early morning, get out of the house and get a shower and use the bathtub.
If possible, avoid going outside during the day, even if you’ve been to the beach or a snow-covered park.
Make a plan for when you will get home.
